Your quarterly reporting, brought to life
Interactive demo · illustrative dataETC Africa works alongside your team to capture and organise your operational data, calculate your footprint and performance metrics, and build a quarterly overview around your priorities.
Each quarter, we discuss the results with your team: unpacking what changed, investigating unusual findings, sharing what is working and agreeing where to focus next. Your dashboard brings that work together in one clear view.
The properties and data in this demo are fictional to protect client privacy. Your own reporting would be password protected and tailored to your operation, priorities, targets and relevant metrics.

Five fictional properties. Eight quarters. A clearer view of what matters.
Select a single property or the portfolio overview, then choose a quarter or the full year. Further down, switch between operational metrics to compare properties with one another and with illustrative external peers.
Bed-nights grew 14.0%, while intensity fell 19.4%. Granite Hills is moving backwards: investigate generator loading, run hours and fuel records.
What’s working?
Portfolio-wide management view · selected reporting period
Carbon intensity -33.2% and generator diesel intensity -54.0% versus the matching Year 1 period. 25.5 kg CO₂e/bed-night; 80.7% renewable electricity.
Next: Review fuel logs and operating changes with the property team, then share practices that explain the improvement. Test which transfer to other properties.
Carbon intensity -25.6% and generator diesel intensity -24.0% versus the matching Year 1 period. 32.1 kg CO₂e/bed-night; 78.0% renewable electricity.
Next: Review fuel logs and operating changes with the property team, then share practices that explain the improvement. Test which transfer to other properties.
What needs attention?
Portfolio-wide management view · selected reporting period
Generator diesel intensity +12.0% versus the matching Year 1 period; carbon intensity 12.9% (35.1 kg CO₂e/bed-night).
Next: Check generator loading, run hours and maintenance alongside fuel reconciliations. Treat causes as hypotheses until verified.
0.55 kg LPG/bed-night. Data Quality: Moderate; purchases are not reconciled to opening and closing stock.
Next: Reconcile LPG stocks and kitchen/hot-water use before treating the peer gap as a saving opportunity.
32.1 kg CO₂e/bed-night, 12.1 above the group target. Carbon intensity changed -25.6% versus the matching Year 1 period.
Next: Review the operational comparisons and property context with the team. An above-target result alone does not prove inefficiency or require a priority action.

All properties are fictional off-grid safari operations. Peer values are illustrative matching-period medians, not ETC’s real dataset. Lower intensity is generally favourable within this operating context; it does not establish the best overall performance.

Synthetic Year 2 peers only; the selected quarter uses matching-quarter peers, and the full-year view uses annual peers. Carbon, generator diesel and renewables: off-grid safari operations. Game-drive fuel: diesel safari operations with similar service models. LPG and electricity: similar guest services and kitchen/hot-water boundaries. Differences prompt investigation; they do not prove inefficiency. Electricity includes solar and generator output.

What’s driving performance?
Estimated avoided fuel cost
41,216 litres avoidedR1,236,475
6,558 litres avoidedR196,746
1,977 kg avoidedR69,203
Occupancy-adjusted comparison with Year 1 fuel intensity. Negative values mean additional cost. These are modelled fuel costs, not verified cash savings or net returns.
Explore the price assumptions
Default illustrative prices: R30/L diesel and R35/kg LPG. Applied consistently to baseline and current use; tax treatment is unspecified. Generator and game-drive diesel are separate. Capital, maintenance, financing and other operating costs excluded.

Boundaries, calculations & demo notes
Entirely synthetic data for design demonstration. Years 1 and 2 are complete illustrative years, not dated claims. Bed-nights include complimentary stays. Illustrative emissions boundary: Scope 1 and 2 plus business travel, waste and third-party logistics; guest travel excluded. Emissions totals are synthetic scenario inputs, not calculated from the operational fuel metrics shown here.
Group intensity = total emissions ÷ total occupied bed-nights. Renewable electricity = on-site solar electricity consumed ÷ total electricity consumed (solar plus generator electricity); no avoided-emissions credits. Annual percentages are weighted using electricity volumes. Rolling annual intensity uses four quarters’ emissions divided by their bed-nights.
Avoided cost for each fuel = (matching Year 1 consumption per bed-night × Year 2 bed-nights − Year 2 consumption) × selected price. Full-year calculations sum the four matched quarterly comparisons, preserving seasonal baselines. Targets: 20 kg CO₂e/bed-night; 90% renewable electricity; generator diesel intensity down 25%; game-drive diesel intensity down 15%. No formal LPG target is assumed.
Data Quality is illustrative: Moderate at Baobab because LPG uses purchase records without opening/closing stock reconciliation; High at other properties. Group rating is conservatively Moderate.
